Our Float Tank experiences cuts off sensory experiences through the use of an enclosed tank, a high content of Epsom salt, and water at the same temperature as your body so you feel as though you are floating on air. Float Tank treatments have many benefits as a once off service, but true results are achieved through ongoing treatments. What to expect
Your treatment time will vary depending on the chosen treatment, but will include a consultation to allow your therapist to explain the process and make sure you are comfortable before beginning your Float Tank experience. Prior to entering the Float Tank, your therapist will request you shower to remove any body oils and product residue. You will be required to shower once again after you exit the Float Tank to remove the salt residue from your skin and hair. We will provide towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. You will also be given a disposable set of earplugs to wear whilst in the Float Tank. We recommend to remove any jewellery for your treatment as the high amount of salt may cause damage. You may float in your swimsuit, but we recommend to float naked to achieve true sensory deprivation. You will be in a private room.
Please always inform clinic therapists of any medication, medical history or allergies.
Please advise the clinic if you:
Are pregnant, or trying to become pregnant.
Are on your menstrual cycle.
Please refrain from:
Waxing or shaving for 24 hours prior.
Professional clinical treatments for 24 hour prior (including, but not limited to, Microdermabrasion, Clinical Peels, Skin Needing, Laser/IPL, Tattooing, Cosmetic Injectables/Filler/Botox).
Colouring your hair within 1 week prior of your appointment.
Consuming alcohol or caffeine 2-3 hours prior.
Drinking or eating large amounts close to your appointment time. We recommend a small meal at least 1 hour prior.
Who isn't suitable for treatment
Client's may be unsuitable for treatment, or may need treatment alterations or medical approval, for any of the following:
Recent surgery in the past 6 months.
Severe mental illness.
Please contact the clinic with any queries.
Everyone reacts differently to Float Tank treatments, some people may feel tired and spacey similar to after a massage, while others may feel more energetic.
Post treatment advice
Drink plenty of water.
Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks immediately after your treatment.
A small snack can help give your body an energy boost.
Refrain from working out for the remainder of the day to give your body some down time.
